Back on track - passport diverted from Kenya to Uganda, visa applied for, waiting to go to the dentist when I am home next week and then my yellow fever shot and I will be good to go.
Starting to learn swahili in hopes of communicating with someone when I arrive. In the words of my country desk (aka headquarters): "Swahili is always helpful in east africa". Challenge accepted.
Less than 6 weeks left until I'm done in Michigan, then relocate to Wisconsin for several months to help on the Senate campaign.
